Yes, there is a travel cot available for use in the house – for which you are required to provide your own bedding.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, although we ask that they do not go on the beds or sofas. We couldn’t deny your dog so many lovely walks in the area!
Unfortunately other pets would not be allowed in the house.
One of the highlights for children is Inveraray Jail – which provides an interactive experience (some children have even been locked up!) Many other places to visit and activities in and around Inveraray are suitable for children of all ages – see our Things To Do page for some ideas.
Not entirely as there are 6 steps down from the car park albeit with a very sturdy handrail. If the steps can be negotiated, then full access can be gained on the ground floor – there would be no need to access the upper floor as there are bedrooms downstairs.
The ground floor of the house is suitable for walking aids and wheelchairs, as is the bathroom.
Please note there are no grab rails in the bathroom but a non-slip bathmat is provided for use in the bath or walk-in shower.
Our weekly rentals have a changeover day of Friday. In addition to full week rentals, we offer short breaks, Fri-Mon or Mon-Fri, in low season. If the calendar does not allow the dates you require, please contact us directly to discuss the possibility of booking other days.

Bedding and towels are provided, and changed weekly should your stay be more than 7 days.
We provide a washing machine, tumble drier and dishwasher, and there is a clothes line in the back garden for your use on a sunny day!
There is a BBQ is available for your use, and you can enjoy al fresco dining on the patio which is furnished with table and chairs.
The car park to the rear of the house can comfortably take 4 cars.
Yes, the gates at the rear of the property can be closed, keeping small children and pets from wandering out.
As well as a well-stocked Co-op just a short walk from the house, there are other convenience stores, a local butcher and a visiting fishmonger.
The Loch Fyne Hotel, just a short walk from the house, has a 15m swimming pool, sauna, steam room and spa pool, with day passes available for non-residents. There is also a larger, public pool in Lochgilphead.
There are a number of short walks within Inveraray Castle grounds, and for a short hill walk, the Dun Na Cuiache overlooking the town offers fabulous views from the top.
There are a number of cafes and restaurants in and around Inveraray (see here) Our favourite for the combination of good food, atmosphere and friendliness is the George Hotel, but we do dine in and enjoy the others too, so there is plenty of choice.
